For any directory owners, when your choosing a new domain for a directory and your placing the word "directory" in the url, does it concern you in what order it is in the url.

    namedirectory or directoryname ?

I think namedirectory is more obvious, it just makes more sense.

well some words go great with the word directory either after word or before like Directory mix or Mix Directory sounds good either way. I guess it would depend the other word and the person who's picking the name.

might also want to consider SEO in your name selection criteria. Seems more intuitive for ppl to search XXX directory than directory XXX, in which case, if your domain name comes after, it will rank higher on search results. Just a thot....

In terms of serps or seo , directory + name is the way to go, cause users do not search for a directory by name, they usually put directory in search.

    Cheers

Maybe it is simply because of the fact that most of the directories are that way- I prefer namedirectory

well it will definatly help in the serps....

but then again most arent very bright in terms of seo as ive seen some on 3-4 pages and they should be ranking 1st and 2nd. No i checked keywords and they were being targeted its just that they are that bad in seo and have no tricks up thier sleeve. just being honest is all....

    I have a few...:D

    thx
