order of the serp (backlinks)

    Currently Yahoo displays maximum 1000 results for any query.And certainly these serp are top relevant pages to the query.
    But when we use linkdomain or link command for checking backlinks same limitation is imposed on it of max 1000 results.
    So if backlinks to the website are 100,000 yahoo will display only 1000 each time.I want to know on which basis yahoo (or other se like google) decides these 1000 serp from 100,000.

    Few things i have noticed it mostly remains the same for big websites like dp.

    And most of the serp has some google pr.I have also noted it must have serp with high google pr with respect to the website in query.

    So is there any connection of yahoo serp (for backlinks) with google pr?

    I am just thinking......
