Order Form Submits

I have been getting a lot of order form submits lately and it frustrates me to see them. Typically around 3-5 per day. I read what it says on clickbank about them but I would just like to know in general what is the average amount of order form submits people get compared to actual orders? Is this a problem of having people trying to use bad credit cards, or is it just people clicking on submit when they havn't filled anything out?

Any help or info would be appreciated.

It annoys the heck out of me, too. Every single damn day, 30-40% are declined. To me, that is such a harsh fraud scrub rate. I can understand a 10% decline rate, but not 30-40% !!

Maybe people are just hitting the button to see what happens, maybe even get it for free?

Really? Then that sums it up that people are just vastly stupid. At least 40% of them are, that is. The ones that just go around blindly clicking those 'Pay Now' buttons on ecommerce sites all over the internet.

I got 14 order forms submitted and only 5 sales. That's only about 35% of what I could be making.

Glad to know I'm not the only one frustrated with that. I hate seeing those dang things!

I did just have an idea as to what they may be. Could it be bots? Do the bots try to go to every link and somehow click the submit button? Is that possible to happen? Any techies have any knowledge about that?

I agree it is very frustrating, I average between 35-40% also and has even hit 42% on one of my weeks.

Seems odd, I would of never thought the percentage would ever be that high.

Hope they will buy within 60 days. Can't believe so many people clicking on the Pay Now when they dont want to buy the product

My own opinion is that it is Clickbank's aggressive fraud scrubbing. They have to be able to keep their merchant accounts under a certain refund and chargeback percentage, so I'm sure that they have massive databases in place that keep track of this sort of thing.

It would still be nice if we could obtain their data though, in order to contact them later.

On one of my sites, I have Amember setup, so I do collect the information before they are sent to clickbank, and it tells me which people did not pay through clickbank, so I guess that is one alternative is to setup a script on all of my sites, on the order section, where a person inputs their basic information (email, name, address), then it forwards that to clickbank and pre-pops that info into clickbank's order form, then the visitor just has to input their billing info, and if they don't, I still have their info, and I could contact them later.

With Amember, it's just one click to email all the people that filled out the initial form, but did not pay. Hmmm, time to get to work :)
