Could be they don't have the money they thought they had on their card. Or it could have been declined for other reasons. Also that field where you have to add your city/county that quietly appears after putting your mouse in the name field. If people miss this they will get sent back to fix it and I guess that counts as a submit. Mike
I think its mainly when people put in incorrect payment details or if they payment is declined for some reason
That's actually one of the rarest reasons. It's very common to get order-form submissions without sales. There's a variety of different reasons for it. Quite a common one is that people will often just click quickly on the first order-link on the sales-page in order to find out the price without having to read through all the phony urgency/scarcity stuff that people pad their pages with before revealing it.
yeah, that would count as an impression, not submission. the submission is when all the details is filled up and it gets rejected.
Yeah ... so we're back to square one. Like alexa, I sincerely doubt that we get order form submissions and no sale because people put in the wrong info. Of course there is no way to no for sure.
I've explained this many times. APPARENTLY: If someone clicks the "Paypal" button - this counts as a submission. So someone clicks Paypal, looks at it and decides not to buy. From what I've heard, this counts as a form submission but obviously no sale. That's how it's possible to get 10 form submissions and 4 sales or whatever.
