There's a new and unique business that's come to reality this year which can nearly double the revenue a publisher/merchant/product owner can make from internet sales through affiliate networks. This is one of those things which sounds too good to be true, but is still true. I'll explain it and then if you haven't figured it out by then, I'll tell you who and how they benefit from it. The business is "order confirmation." A room with about 400 people dialing on it, here in the US(for those of you who aren't fans of out-sourcing to India), will call back customers who have purchased a product or service online, and up-sell them two more offers of the product owner. The Order Confirmation room will contract with the product owner of, let's say, Acai Products. The owner of Acai Products most likely sells other products besides just Acai. The Order Confirmation room will then get the agreement of the product owner to send them his thousands of online sales leads everyday so they can call them back within 24-48 hours and up-sell those customers two more of his products. When they sell the two more products, they do it in the same vein as they originally purchased their product. They charge them 1.95 S&H for each product and tell them they'll be re-billed the 49.95(or whatever) each month until they opt out of the program. The Order Confirmation rooms can clost 40% of the leads for 2 more products. So if they had 1,000 leads = 1,000 sales that they took to up-sell on, they could make 800 sales more for the product owner. What's also beneficial about Order Confirmation is that when these order confirmation representatives call the leads, they can find out which numbers are disconnected, wrong numbers, people who didn't order, etc. - all signs of fraud - which they then compile into a list and send to the product owner so he refrains from paying CPA on fraud sales. So not only does it save the product owner money, but it also increases sales by 80%. Impulse Team is the only group I know that does it but there may be more.
