I used to, but got out of the business when I went to grad school...its a fun (and addicting) practice, but you can make a lot of money with it. good luck.

My parents are option traders. They love it.
I tried it, but got very very bored worrying about the 200, 50 average, the hammers, and all that stuff :)

Good money though (and even better if you trade as a Nevada corporation :) )

I haven't got into options trading, but i do trade sports arbitrage. If you like sports then it is a much more accessible method of trading for profit to the average person.

If you own the underlying stock, option writing is a good way to have a steady income.

I use to trade trade options only,

I lost a lot initially because of time decay.

It really depends how you trade them. You can be a taker, a writer or set up strategies using both write and take/ put/call combinations.

I found there is a massive learning curve and for the returns you make it is too much effort. Trading options taught me to get my entry correct, but like I said the time decay on contracts killed me. I have now switched to trading CFDs and FX where time decay is not an issue. I just use options for insuring my shares now. I would write options for income if SMSF allow it :(

I almost exclusively trade options, primarily writing covered calls. It's not flashy, but it is very profitable.

There's a ton of options trading seminars. I attended one by Optionetics about 9 years ago. It was a two day seminar, cost around $4,500. Learned a ton of things that I have forgotten now.
