    You can find WordPress Update Service at;

    Settings ==> Writings

    The default settings there is;

    I forgot, do we need to put http:// there?

    Because I have changed mine into this.

    I want to ask, what I am doing here, does it contribute anything to SEO or increasing traffics?

    Or I am making my blog look as a SPAM blog?

    Thank you...

    What you are doing is good, except that pingomatic does by default ping all of those servers as you ping it.

    Also; pinging all the seperate Google servers is redundant because they all form part of the .com index; by pinging that you will update all of them (as far as I know).

    People tend to go nuts with ping services. My personal testing has never yielded any positive results using a long list. I say keep it short and sweet.

    Plus, if you put a lot of urls there, the posting process will be slowed down significantly .

    You either install a plugin that pings the sites progressive, after you post the article, so you don't have to wait for a long time after you push the publish button or just enter a handfull of the links you just posted. Limit yourself to the ones most popular.
    I think its just a myth that pinging a high number of sites will get you huge traffic.

    I've tried it with the default settings and the long list and can't tell any real difference.

    Hi,

    With that ping list you'll likely end up pinging the same update services multiple times.

    No need for a huge list IMO.
