I was just wondering what else I could do to my ringtones site besides what's already on there. There isn't much as far as content goes, just the main landing page and the providers page. So what could i do with it?

    1. Get rid of the header. It's amateurish looking.

    2. There really isn't anything there. You have a bunch of providers, and instructions. You need more to get your visitors in a buying mood.

It's like a salesman going to your door, and he quickly goes into his sales pitch after you open your door.

Maybe put in funny pictures of phones and their users.

Example ringtones for them to listen to.

    Men's favoirte ringtones.

    Women's favorite ringtones.

    The most annoying ringtones.

    On and on....

You can put this in your site...

    3. You are instructing them to choose their provider, and they haven't even taken a good look a your site yet. Put it on the bottom.

    4. Put the info. that is on your other pages and put them on the homepage. Show it to them, right then and there.

    5. Get rid of those Google ads. It just doesn't make a site look good.

Besides, you want to sell YOUR stuff, not others!

There's more I saw, but I'm freakin' hungry.

See ya in the funny papers.

I was thinking about the header thing just today. And the adsense ads were just temporary fillers for space, so I'll get rid of those.

I'll probably select a new design today and use some of the advice you have given.

Yes, headers actually reduce sales. They seem
to confuse the message. You want your head-
line to be the first thing read. Basically, the
head-line and the PS, are your best salesmen!

However, I notice with your site, the header is
very simple and there is no real sales story. I
think you need a message. It looks like you are
expecting people to say, "Ah ha, free ringtones."
    And, then start downloading.

In terms of optimisation. Have you got Louis
Allport's videos, "10 Steps To A Google Friendly
Page"? They are all over the internet and very
cheap, with good content. I can send them to
you for free, if you want. Just buzz me a PM.

Here's a site you should look at.

    http://mobile.iplay.com/

Notice how fun it looks. That's the goal you should shoot for.
