What do you mean by "optimize"?

I think you should house two sets of images and don't let osc re-size them.

Figure out what size you want your thumbs to be, re-size them in PS and take out the osc paramaters.

But everytime I'll upload some images, osc will do whatever it wants. I can only look for the thumbnails on the server and re-size them manually. Can I do that ?

Ok, go to your admin site. >Configuration>Images
And then set all of the height and width values to "0".

This will display the actual image in your images folder. So you want to make sure that they are the size you wish to display.

Like I said, it's best to have a thumbnail size (maybe 120 pix X 120 pix). And a separate larger size (I usually use 400 x 400). Two folders for two sets of images.

PM me and I will show you one of my stores if you want to see how it looks.

Yes, but how do I configure OSC to get my small images as thumbnails and my bigger images when the customer click on the thumbnail to see the full size image ?
You have to excuse my php knowledge ... I am not that good ... :(

    Hi

Try the Product Attribute Pictures contribution here: addons.oscommerce.com/info/5456 .

It creates a thumbnail, enlarged image and stylish javascript popup for each image file you upload and keeps the aspect ratio intact so there's no stretching or other distortion of the image.

There's also a premium version with loads of other features.

    Hope this helps.
