Here's the thing I have a site walldecorpints.com that is getting traffic based on three word keyphrases. For example I am only optimizing for keywords for wall decor prints, buy art prints and others , but only for keywords that recieve a high amount of searches of at least 5k searches/month. So my strategy is working out. I am ranked for these keywords and recieve searches both organically and using ppc. I am getting about 20hits a day at the most but because I am only optimized for 3 word key phrases or long tail keywords, I'm thinking that most ppl who type in 3 word phrases is a fairly serious searcher. So using microsoft's commercial intent tool all of my keywords are 99%. Which means that ppl who type in the keyword "wall decor prints" is potentially a serious person interested in purchasing wall decor prints which is what I sell on my website. I am not recieving any conversions eventhough ppl are staying on the site for about 2 mins. Let me know what you think. I thought I was doing exactly the right thing. stormy seas
Conversions are difficult specially when you're selling a product off a popular website like e-bay, popular forums,etc... Try making your site look more legit, ask some people for their views and first impressions on visiting your site. On the contrary, you can target some more keywords, 20 hits a day is approx 600 hits a month. At this rate you can even find it difficult to make more than 1 conversion ever 3 months. So my advice is, invest in SEO. Target more keywords and as traffic will gradually increase, you'll start seeing some results.
So you're saying that you don't think the site looks legit or that I simply need more hits? I appreciate any advice even negative advice. I'm ranked for about 37 keywords associated with my product but they only produce maybe 20 hits a day and is climbing but they are quality hits. The ppl who visit my site stay a minimum of 2 minute and many stay 4 and 5 minutes. Most visitors view at least 3 pages on the site. I have only been marketing my using adwords for about 5 days but its immediatly improved my ranking organically but the traffic doesn't seem to be converting at all. Not one sale eventhough all the indications say I should be making some sales. I am ranked and ppl are staying on the site, but their must be something wrong cause no sales.
