Guys I have seen that on "Search Engine Optimization" category people are mostly talking about google updates, backlinks, bookmarking etc. But I have not seen thread regarding onpage SEO. So here I want to give some view and also want to know your opinion regarding optimizing big dynamic e-commerce website. When we are going to optimize dynamic CMS or non-cms based website we encounter lots of on page issue like duplicate url, canonical issue etc. I want to point out some things that I do when optimizing dynamic website 1. I rewrite dynamic url to static url so that URL become search engine friendly 2. If the site have canonical issue I use 301 redirection to redirect non-www version to www version or otherwise use canonical tag. 3. I use robots.txt file to allow or block particular url and folder 4. I create sitemap.xml file and submit the file to search engine so that search engine can easily find all of our pages There are also lots of factors that we will have to work. But I want to know your view and what other activities you do for optimizing dynamic website.
You are right, every one is talking about google and backlink, because this is what every one want. ON site optimization is also important but offline seo factors like backlinks, SERP ranking and google pr affects a lot to your online business. If your offline seo is not done well, even your 100% on page seo will not help you enough.
But there are so many things that have to talk about onpage optimization and people can share their idea and strategy on onpage optimization.
IF offpage is much more importance than on page, why people will waste time in discussing for onpage, when they can use that time to learn offpage seo and get more benefit from it? got it ?
