    Recently i added a list of high traffic sites, but unrelated to our sites theme and was able to bring down the CPC by around 40% and also the cost per conversion came down by 30 to 40%.,

    For example, If your site is related to finance, Exclude all teen sites like youtube, orkut etc., this will improve your conversions and decrease your cpc
