I've been an avid SEO-minded designer for the past 5 years with varied success, but I know the importance of thoroughly thinking through my SEO game plan for all my sites.

But this current one I am developing has got me clueless folks. I am in a bit of a bind with how I am going to structure this on particular section of a website so that it is optimized for the SE's.

This particular section is a database application that is made up of categorized areas of videos. And these videos are instructional in nature on the topic of golf. And there are about 20-30 different categories of videos, from "Putting" to "Driving" to "Golf Destinations". And each category contains tens to hundreds of golf videos covering those respective topics. The problem is, one video can be member of numerous categories. So if a certain video is about "The best courses for putting", that video is placed under multiple categories such as "Destinations" and "Putting". And on these pages contains the description, images of these individual videos.

So as you can see, I immediately have a problem with Duplicate Content. The average golf video on this site is a member of 2-4 categories... so this paragraph description that belongs to the video and all it's images will be visible under each of those 2-4 category pages. Hence, duplicate content... everywhere.

I cannot structure the system any other way, and all I can do is figure something out that won't break how the system works for the user.

Does anyone have any suggestions or guidance on how I can optimize this section so that I do not fall victim to duplication between the numerous categories? Is this even something I should be thinking about that could affect my rankings? Would love to hear any tips or thoughts on this matter. Thanks for any help. I truly appreciate it.

Also, is there a preferred format for delivering videos that Google likes better than the others (ie. Flash, Quicktime, Windows Media, etc.)?
