Optimizing amazon sales?

Ive been getting roughly 100 searches a day for people searching for black ops related prices. So I decided to put some amazon affiliate links for the PS3 and Xbox black ops games.

This is as targeted as things get, but the traffic just isnt converting. Perhaps it is to early days to expect a sale. Ive had 13 clicks in 2 days, which is more than ive had in 1 year of adsense.

Any other tips you could give me?

That isn't a very high click through rate - I would look at how you are solving the problem for the visitors. Are you giving them good advice/content for Black Ops related stuff?

hurhhhh...for sure you need to increase your traffic first in order to make sale...
don't focused your site to amazon associates link only....
for sure you will need good content also..

Ive made 10 sales now from 50 clicks, with a deep link conversion rate at 18%. Pretty happy with this :)

@freshdevelopment: yes its totally related to black ops and its price. So it cant really get more targeted.

Im not sure what "All Other Items Ordered" means tho, do I still qualify for this sale?

For me right now, focusing on larger commodity that has bigger commissions are the primary optimization. I sell a hundred books a month but that only mounts to about $150 earnings.

I think your link may not be interesting enough. You should be improved to put a link or selecting products.
    I've seen someone got 1 click/1 order. :D

That is still good though. $150 is a fair ammount. Do you have any other sources of revenue or just rely on this one? Any idea if I still get the sale for "All Other Items Ordered"?

Amazon is not my primary source of income. Yes, you will get credit for all other items sold after the visitor has clicked through your affiliate link.
