Optimizing 404 error pages - Any worth ?

    Is it worth to optimize 404 and 403 error pages ?

    Do the SE index and gives PR to this kind if page ?

    I wrote a post on my blog a while back about spicing up ur 404 page..

    it was degin + marketing only, though..

    Even if they index this kind of sites, it will not do your site any good..

    I would say try to stay away from these errors if possible :)

    the main cocept in 404 page is to inform the user the page was not found and if you make a custom page with your home page link or your sitemap link then the user may get a chance to see your other pages in the site.

    What is the use of having PR in 404 page? Are you going to link exchange with that page? or you want to become first for the term "File Not Found"?

    I did all my sites for the 404 3 month back i think i got 1 click
