I plan on buying forum software soon for my domain, and it might be VB. I see everyone who owns VB is doing good too!

 

actually, vBulletin is on the decline big time, and now xenforo.com is the next best thing by all accounts....

The code $db->force_sql_mode(''); is available in two instance. In line 187 and 198. To which one, I should use comment tag // ?

 

your memcache trick is not working for me giving error restoring back original file only solved it

Thanks so much for this article! One thing people should consider is when using https, the remote YUI option is not one that will leave forum users happy. I wasn't thinking about it when implemented, and then saw numerous posts about the security pop-ups. Changing back to local worked for me.

Thank you so much for taking the time in writing up this article. I have put all of them on my board apart from the replace search as my hosts refuse to install Sphinx on my server which is a shame as it would of really capped off the optimizing pretty well.
