Hi , How many of you here had try this Optimization Tips? I read it in google . Its sound slick because you can 'chose' the Highest paying Keywords thats in your content. Personal, I had not try it. So anyone down here who had try it , care to comment on the outcome in term of clicks value? and can anyone try to help in giving more technically "how" to implement in to the web? Tks.
Yea, but if someone took the time to really tweak it for the higher paying ads (of which the content is already available on your page, but you are just emphasizing it and removing other non-relevant content) they would have the potential of increasing their income exponentially. If someone gives it a try let us know if it worked...
I'm using Section Targeting in a forum. It was common to see ads about cities and countries (that the Adsense bot found in people's profile) or other unrelated topics, maybe because of information found in the signatures. Now, I define the relevant area of each topic: the text of the posts. And the targeting is much better.
Actually this is not just a simple procedure of cramming a lot of keywords into a paragraph and using section targeting for that. You need quite a lot of content before it will be of any use, and cramming keywords will definitely be frowned upon. However it could definitely be very useful to stop some really off-topic adverts from showing.
It works great. I have tried it out. But it took around 1.5 months in my case to really show results. Now the Ads are well targetted. But i had to filter some ads outs (blog ads)
I did very well with section targeting, it increased my eCPM several fold. The gain wasn't long term and my eCPM has decrease several fold since, but it still remains far above what it use to be.
Hmm... In this case how do you even know the increase was a result of implementing the section targeting? I would say their targeting was already pretty good (hope YPN is listening), even before the section targeting feature. I started using it in as soon as it became available, but cannot see any difference because in my case targeting was already pretty good.
You're right, in most cases AdSense targeting is very good. In my opinion, section targeting is most useful for excluding content and preventing poison/stop words from throwing off the targeting. Much better to use than the alternatives (hiding them with JavaScript or inserting span tags in the middle).
Eric's right. I tested the section targeting for a while and my income dropped while using the positive targeting. Ads were so "off" it wasn't even funny. So now I only use the negative targeting to isolate portions of my pages I'd like to Not be included when determining which ads to serve. My income is rising back to near-normal levels. K
I have a blog website that the content changes every day. The problem that I had with adsense is that it would display ads from worthless content for a few weeks. So I then used the adsense targeting and now it displays ads on my website theme and ignores the blog posts.
