    hello All

I am new to this SEO field. I am given the task to optimize a website (www dot hbl dot com) The problem is that this company has two more domains and the same site (with no change in design, layout, or content what so ever) is uploaded on the other two domains (www dot hbl dot net) and (www dot habibbankltd dot com) I have suggested my client that site should be live on only one domain (www dot hbl dot com), as it is most important for their business and other two domains can be used to redirect to the domain containing the pages of the site.

Is their any other way that can be used apart from redirection. The google currently displays (www dot habibbankltd dot com) in google SERPs against the query (keyword) hbl. the site hbl.com and hbl.net does not even appears in the results for term hbl.

    Thanking you in advance

    Regards

Your only option is to block the sites from being indexed or use a 301 redirect. You should really do the redirect - nothing good can come from having three domains with the same exact content.

You don't need 3 sites with 3 lots of content. Is that actually what you have??

All you need is the other 2 domains re-directed to the .com
They don't need to have any content to do this.

For you main question. The only way to get the others to come up in google for the keywords is to build backlinks to them.

But then why would you want them to come up if you already have the results for the .com? You don't see google.net when you type google into google ;) It is redirected to the .com

The main reason people get other extensions is for type-ins. If you have one result there is no point optimizing another domain. For a start, as said before google doesn't index 2 sites the same. However if for some reason someone knew your company name but not the website, they would type in something with a guess on the extension.

If you have all of the available, then they are going to find your site :)

This is a classic case of duplicate content.
Google will index only one instance of your content.
Redirection will be the best way to follow.
If you don’t want to use redirect than just remove the duplicates and leave the content on the site you're optimizing.

Use 301 redirect on the other domains to redirect them to hbl.com.

Other than 301 redirect, I don't think there is any solution.

Yes, use a 301 redirect on the other domains so they still pass their link juice to the .com

That's is True... Go for the L301 redirection and redirect the other two domains to the Main domain.

Exactly, the worse thing that can happen is this:

You have 3 sites, .com .org .net

The site which is primary or main here is .com

Google however might suspect you for double content (triple even) and actually index the .net domain instead of the .com one.

So, either redirect it, or if you are a workaholic then set no follow to the other two.
