A client has asked me to optimise their landing pages for four key phrases per page. Is this realistic? Usually I would optimise for one key phrase per page to make sure the keyword prominence is optimal in the title tag, meta tags, body text, etc. How would you deal with a client who is asking for each page to be optimised for four different key phrases?
No, this is extremely difficult, usually each page is written an created around one keyword or phrase, you would be best creating additional pages. Unless the keywords are something like: red shoes, blue shoes, black shoes, brown shoes as the content would be based on shoes with the link density for each keyword being in the page. meta and page description could look like: red shoes | blue shoes | black shoes | brown shoes
Yes, you can use 4 keywords for the one page but try to put character lenght of the title tag is upto 60 characters. Because Google only displays 60 characters title tag in the SERP
I would only target 2 terms per page. If a client requires more terms to be targeted I would produce new pages.
you can target more keywords like 3 or 4 but it depends if they are extensions of keywords for example dating dating website free dating website there 1 page can be used for all 3 of those keywords hope this example sheds some light
