Hello, If i wanted to have a site (shop) that sold to 3 different countries UK, US and Canada, what would be the best way to optimise it for Google. For example should i have duplicate content in 3 different directories (the only difference being the price of the items), or should i do it on subdomains ie. uk.myshop.com us.myshop.com and ca.myshop.com. Can anyone please offer advise? Thanks Late
You might want to start by hosting your site in whatever country you are targeting. Where does your shop ship from? That could be an important point in determining location relevance? ...just some food for thought.
what sort of commodities you seek to sold in these countries, it depends upon the type of material you want to sold.
Not at that stage yet, just didnt want to go go up the wrong path with regards to site layout/design and hosting.
I can't confirm that statement, of course does it help, but I am maintaining the real estate site for an English client .com, server location california, main business, properties in spain. That site is ranking on google.co.uk as well as on .com, .es, .de ... without (I know for sure, because it's my task) any link from a UK site.
same here I do not require links for a .com.au domain to be listed in the Australian version of google. Its all worldwide thou im not 100% sure how google determines it :? ie. australian sites with .com domains rank right next to me
