Optimatization tips for new website

First of all, I'm new here at this great forum .

I've recently made a new website, it's actually a blog about 'How to Earn Money with you Website'. You can visit my website here: www.webmasterplace.be .
But I have some questions:

The Alexa rank is important to be able to get advertisers to websites, so thats why I need some optimatization tips to get more traffic to my website. I tried some things like the Alexa Widget, the redirect URL, the toolbar but I still don't have a rank. How can I get traffic and a decent rank?

Well there are few things you need to clear up with your self, such as for which keywords do you want to rank high on the serps and how much are you ready for that (some keyword ranking requires lots of time and money).

Anyway, you could give a read to this on-page SEO article I have wrote to give a clue, and you can continue reading more seo tutorials to have a better pictures of what where and when should be done to rank higher.

I am giving you a general answer since you asked a general question (sorry if you feel this is too general).

You need to learn SEO, build links, and advertise on forums and blogs. You can always write an article and submit it to sites like Digg.

Hi webmasterplace! You've mentioned that your blog is just new right? Just continue link building like blog directory submissions and link to related sites/blogs. Then add some good content to your blog (the latest issues and the hottest topics will definitely boost traffic to your blog). and consider the do's and dont's in SEO...

 

If you are looking for advertisers then why don't you start with google adsense it is a wonderful program and you don't even need to traffic...Its a good way to start earning right away and then you can work on your traffic and then attract direct advertisers.

well honestly to be an seo also means to be resourceful, you may learn a lot from reading some posts in a forum such as this... as with directories there are pretty lots of free directories in the internet, it would be better if you will be seeking for a one way link rather than reciprocals... you should also be downloading some seo toolbars w/c is available in the internet

in seo you should put in mind that it is a long term basis kind of work it only takes some of your patience to see the fruit of your labor and of course to be always update with the activities of Google...
