    Hello..

    Hi steve added king for your consideration.

    Not a problem steve, king is only 2 weeks old and i do understand were your coming from as well as we do have to be choosy anymore due to the fact that google could take it out on us plus it doesnt make for a good surfing expierience.

    Will try again after i get more back links and my predicted PR4 .

    thank you

    Just a note to saubmitters, OptikPoint is very strict and keen on the submissions that are sent into queue of the directory. These sites are viewed by placement into the search engines by keywords, inbound links, outbound links and quality the site has that will be of use to those who search for YOUR keywords.

    I apologize to those who have been rejected, and please note that after 30 days, you may submit again.

    @chem, We're running a spamblack list in which checks IP's that are on the list that have been placed by search engines and companies who have reported them. Please e-mail me your IP so I can check as to why you're banned.

    Thank you.

    It would have been nice if you had kept the Featured Listings that were paid for in the previous version of your directory.

    :confused: :confused:

    Those listings are still listed in the backend as featured but not listed on the main directory. We're blending all submissions together so they're equal and we do not get any confusion of why we're offering free, and also listing featured.

    Listings inside the (Computers > Internet > Web Directories) are staying where they're at. I apologize for the inconvenience this is causing.

    @jg123

    The point isnt about PR 0 Directory rejecting your site, its that OptikPoint started to list "Quality" websites/directories that meets there requirments, if your sites did not met the required QUALITY then there is nothing bad in rejecting it and PR is not even a point to raise when you are submitting to a nice directory like "OptikPoint" and that to for free!!!

    Everyone has his rights to play around the rules, your directory your rules;)

    "your directory your rules" - Yep I agree.

    I don't recall it saying anywhere that I needed to have a certain Page Rank or Number of Incomming Links in order to be listed.

    This is my last post on the subject because I agree that the directory owner can do as they please.

    When hitting a submit link I get:
    <quote>
    This IP was reported, and has been banned by a company and/or search engine.
    </quote>

    Hmm. Never been to your site before. I'm using a Verizon Wireless Air Card. Wonder who got there before me?

    @chem dont worry, are you using BSNL ? Then you are obviously a spammer. Dotcompal(another DP member) is also a spammer; 95% of BSNL(Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited - India's largest Internet Service Provider) users are spammers. They have blocked around 95% of IPs provided by BSNL. I dont know who reported these ips and to whom ? [It seems instead of blocking a few ips they have blocked a wide range]

    Boby either you remove this script or make a handmade spam list. Otherwise this will happen again and again. Now BSNL users will have to prove again and again that I am not spammer, I never ever spammed in my life and in my earlier life and in my earlier earlier.....

    @Steve for your kind attention (Please e-mail me your IP so I can check as to why you're banned.) BSNL users have no fixed IPs. The IP changes as they disconnected and a new IP is assigned on reconnection. So it wont help mailing IP address to you.

    If Boby doesn't remove/rectify the script then it'll block a huge no of Indians to access the submit page. Now if all phplinkdirectory owners start to use this script then you can easily understand what will happen ?

    Now the question is if you still want to use this script then go ahead. It seems only a few like me are affected, so no problem, others can easily access the submit page and submit their site. And also you have the every right to block shit spammers like me and other BSNL users. So.....

    And lastly I dont want to prove my virginity again and again(lol...). Now I have started thinking myself a spammer. Sorry guys if it sounds rude, but its true.

    Now Matts is also a spammer, Matts, we will launch a spam club soon...(j/k) ;)

    @khushal: thank you for the support, I appreciate it, and of course every directory owner has their fair play on how they require their directory to run, and I respect the site owners submission, and time to submit to OptikPoint.

    Every site that has been placed into queue is looked at for more than 5 minutes (literally). No site passes these eyes until everything is viewed and has the quality, and SE placement of links, whether it be IBL or OBL to the site. Thanks again :)

    @Matts: I am going to just say this once, I am very sorry to those that are blacklisted. Reason I have this implimented is because of spammers and really wanting to focus on protection to the server of a serious flood waiting to happen by the IP's listed on the blacklist.

    The script can be modified by Boby and I will let him know about this as per request by iceberg. (Good pointer)

    @an0n: can you IM me to let me know what is wrong? Cheers m8 :)

    Thank you for the replies, and please don't worry about bringing your comments and concerns, but please don't bash OptikPoint in the process (not that anyone has)

    Thanks Steve, but the problem is yet to be solved. If the script is still available then someone will install it and same problem will arise again.
