You could try giving them something for free if they sign up to your newsletter.

There are tons of free plr ebooks with giveaway rights floating around the web, try getting hold of one in your niche and giving it in return for signing up to your list.

    Exactly.

Or, start a website that offers a very popular service for free, may take a small piece of investment but you will get a very targeted list. One option is maybe start free hosting? get a reseller account some where for cheap and don't advertise on there sites. Give them full access. on registration let them opt in and there you go, you have a nice niche list for domain names sales through affiliate links :)

Use common sence and think up some ideas, i thought of this as typing this post, Easy stuff :)

No they aren't worth it at all, i paid $12 a year for one, all that happens is they send out about 200 emails with the same title and they all go into junk so no one reads any.

Not worth it. You don't want to get a bad reputation with your company...it can be fatal.

Instead offer free services or sign ups until you build a nice size list. You can easily collect email addresses this way and then be guaranteed they are already interested in what you have to offer.

Give something away for free that people would want. Look around for, or write your own reports on your niche. Then you can put them in the autoresponder so that when someone gets their confirmatino email, they get the info too

I just paid $19.99 for opt-in emailing... NO RESULTS at all. More than that, it seems like it was a fraud!

I run a technical analysis website related to the stock market. Basically, what I do is have a bunch of free stock trading videos that people can only access after the enter their email address. You can see it on the homepage at http://www.tradewithoutemotion.com

From there, I have autoresponders that are sent automatically every couple days along with a newsletter I send out every couple of days. It's worked well thus far, but I have no idea if I'm getting sales from the autoresponders.

But they do have a good "tracking" options. I know who has opened it, or clicked on specific link, etc.

$9.99/month for the basic package, so one sale would pay for an entire year plus.

No. You don't have a relationship with these lists. You'd rather have one which you've built up yourself from the beginning. It's much more effective in the long-run even though it takes more time.

Ok, going to be a little bit against the grain on this one. I used an opt mailing list within the last year and had some pretty good results. But I also targeted the three main points that I knew they would be looking for. Now mind you I paid more for my list than some of the "cheaper" compilers once I looked at a very specified niche. The list and the mailing combined cost me $486.00 and some change, So far I have done a little over $30k in business. The downside was that my profit margin had to be below 10%. However the volume increase justified it.

It really does depend what service you are offering, how niche you are about the group you are targeting, and what key motivator will get their attention (Fear of Loss, Association, and Greed).

Most people fail because they would rather spend .2 cents per name rather than paying more for quality names and targeting them directly. In my case, I was even able to split them out by gender and build two different campaigns with different motivators for each.

Unless you have the ability to go through all that headache and the turn around that makes a 3% return (mine was 3.2%) then yeah, it's probably not the route you need.

It should cost around $10/100 email and it depend on the niche.
    Yes it worth buying.
After i have sent them info information about my product, they come to my site and buy it.
And the converting rate is good around 8%
