I'm hoping to get other people to post their *actual* stats and not just opinions please. I am experimenting with opt-in email campaigns and would like to compare my results (I should say lack thereof) with others'. I'm running two experiments, each involving sending out email ads to 300,000 opt-in (supposedly) recipients, targetted to two completely separate offerings: 1. So far, the first campaign is showing me:Start Date: 12/9/2011 Total Amount Sent: 242,246 Total Amount Opened: 51,257 CTR: 97. For this campaign, I don't have a great landing page, but I have several CPA ads across 5 web pages. So far my affiliate manager is saying I have a total of 4 clicks, no sales. 2. Second campaign is showing me:Start Date: 12/12/2011 Total Amount Sent: 168,311 Total Amount Opened: 32,901 CTR: 40. For this campaign, I have a parked domain name with another affiliate so all traffic is going to a professional website directly. So far affiliate is showing 6 clicks, no sales. I'd like to get other people's stats and experiences. I paid very little for this traffic, and since then (ya, I should have done more research before) have found a few people that think this is just a waste of money. But what I'm not sure of is this: i) are there better opt-in email providers out there with higher quality lists, targetted, etc.? ii) or is opt-in email a non-starter for any offering? If anyone has had positive experience with opt-in, I'd like to know what the specifics were. Thanks in advance for any insights! PS: the interesting thing is that for both campaigns, the clicks to my ads/affiliate came in the first two days... hmmm.
