I have a question for all you wise-old-folk out there. I have about 20-30 customers who are lined up to purchase basic 1-5 page websites off me. What sort of hosting should I purchase. 1. Should I just get hosting with unlimited hosting of website's or 2. Purchase a re-seller account and create new accounts for each customer. Or is a re-seller account mainly for people that would like to simply sell hosting and let the customer create their own sites and upload etc. I will be simply presenting the customer with their site and thats it. They wont have any need to access any cpanel or admin sections to their website or hosting. Thanks for any feedback.
Depends on the hosting service you look at. As in example, a hosting account at Servage allows you unlimited domains but the fine print may not authorize you to provide hosting services. In addition, Servage and other hosting services with unlimited domains plans provide you with a common root directory so chances are that your clients can browse all of your hosted sites if you don't create individual accounts for each of them. A reseller hosting is a better solution because most of the resellers plans are Cpanel based and creating new domains provides your clients with their own directory and resources based on hosting packages that your setup from inside your associated WHM. I have a reseller account and I have not clients under it, just a need to keep some of my domains with separate resources and Cpanel services so a reseller account may serve to any hosting purpose you have in mind.
Thanks for your feedback. My Clients wont have any access to the cpanel at all. I won't be selling them hosting access so to speak. Just providing them with websites live to the net.
Well. I would still get reseller as not much of price difference if you get your reseller from a nice host which provides it for cheap around $6.99. It keeps things organised and keeps your clients happy with no BW problems.
