Opinions Please: Girlie Gossip

I have recently launced my new website and forums called Girlie Gossip. It is obviously aimed at women and covers a wide range of topics. I still have a lot of content and articles etc so add so please bear with me on that, I would just like to know what people think of it so far

Works for me, nice looking site with plenty of initial appeal, looks like you have the makings of a good site there.

 

yeap.. working now. very beautifully designed. One suggestion. that horizontal banner looks kind of plain. The whole site have blocks with borders, only this block(ads) is without border which makes it plain.

Looks really good, I'm impressed.
What CMS are you using? Did you do all the design yourself?

 

I agree it looks professional, good base from which to keep adding content.
It reminds me of my site Life-School.co.uk but the female version, and better designed.
Possibly a roll-over image would be good as the main graphic at the top.

 

Great site - although im no female .
I'd just wanna add that I kindof find it "ad crowded". Dunno maybe if you use a little bit less ads or just blend them a little better. Overall I love the site .

 

I like the site design, especially the way you have blended the adsense ads under the left navigation.

Thats what interested me to... the blending is next to perfect..


The center however, seems a bit crowded.. you could thing of shrinking the left hand navigation bar and to cover it up you could make the link fonts bold..

Partner sites could go at the bottom or atlest on the left hand

Rest is cool.. nice one

What sort of tarffic are you getting and how long has it been up?

The design was based on something from 'ScottBotkins' a member here and my husband adapted it to fit what we needed, I'm no designer myself I just sit next to my husband whilst he's designing and say what looks good and what doesnt! lol.

Thanks for the comments about the adsense, we were hoping they blended in well

The site has literally only been up for a couple of weeks, traffic isnt bad but obviously I have a LOT of work to do yet to get things running to the standards i'm hoping for on there! If anyone has any idea's about how I can promote/attract more visitors and forum users please feel free to shoot me a PM.
