Opinions on types of Landing Pages

One of my problems with being an affiliate marketer is my hold up with the types of landing pages I should be making. Frankly I don't promote some good offers because I have no idea what the best type of landing page for the offer is:

Lets take for example offers that give a % off of a certain amount for a purchase. Let say a flower shop giving 10% off a purchase of $30 bucks.

    1. Should I buy a domain for flowers and setup a 1 page offer or a multiple page minisite on flowers.....?

    2. Should I concentrate building a general website for example: myhottestdeals123.com and have multiple sections and promote the flower offer on there?

    3. Should I just frame the offer under a new domain name?

So i guess what I am getting at is what types of landing pages do people create for different types of offers? What do you include on them?

I seem to get caught up doing all these things and so I never really do any of them as well as I should be because I always second guess my efforts thinking I am doing it incorrectly.

I KNOW PEOPLE are going to just say test test test.....:)

Sorry I guess I know this is more of a rant them actually questions. I know the answer is that each offer should be promoted in the way that works best for that particular offer.

It all depends on the product. If the product is received heavily by people then it makes sense to create a domain for it. If it's a product which is new, you can test it out on your general site. Where competition lies is where you create a single landing page for the offer. That's what you have to go by.

domains are so cheap through go daddy and if you get an account through 1 and 1 for web hosting you can host about 20 or so sites...

Landing page will depend on the market, and how your competitors are already succesful doing to make sales.

You can find this out by studying the competition in the marketplace in the ads section, monitor them for a while and pick out the ones that are continuously showing up for over 10-14 days (for keywords that are searched in a significant volume)

Watch out for big companies that shell out big money without tracking their ROI.

You could build a reviews website, and write up a review about your experience as to what is the best flower shop or whatever.

Getting a unique domain is not necessary as this alone does not have a significant impact on conversions.

What has the biggest impact on conversions is your adcopy and overall offer. Getting a good domain name might get you clicks, but if your ad copy or offer is poor it will not convert.

Make it convert first, then get a domain that reflects the keyword themes you're targeting.

I may agree with you there.

If you have a generic "Offers" domain, it is real easy to create a new subdomain.

    MySuperNetOffers.com
    Ringtones.MySuperNetOffers.com
    MakeMoney.MySuperNetOffers.com

If you can earn from that then you would then move on to an easy to type-in/brand site.
