Hello all, I'm trying to get users to my site www.codingtech.net however its getting harder and harder. Do I keep making posts so it looks like it is a successful forum? or do I just post little for guests to see its not just me that is on the forum.. Any feedback on www.codingtech.net? Cheers/
Work on your Search Engine optimization, preferablly towards google, and go to yahoo answers, that helps tons
you need to do some technique, like give free dofollow forums list . Then put your site there, but it's will make ton of spammer come. The best thing is, promote your forum on right way,,,make seo contest, etc
Well, forums promotion can be hard since there are alot of other forums that have more active user base. Start with niche topic firs then expand the topic as your site grows.
there are so many ways to get user to the website. Such as SEO, article marketing, Social Networking, Email Marketing, Offline Marketing and so on. Just try and find one technique that suit for you and then stick to do it
Problem is (as dumb as it sounds) I have no clue what seo & dofollow, niche is?? Care to explain? Done google and yahoo.
Well, a quick look at your site reveals that you've not done much in the way of SEO on it. Low incoming links, not keyword optimized etc I would think that your most beneficial plan of action is to learn how to do basic SEO and get on with doing it. I have several sites on Google page one resulting in thousands of visitors a month, and learned all I needed to know through on inexpensive course, about $9 a month if I remember correctly. As an aside - what is the primary purpose of your site? I didn't see any way of monetizing it in the quick look I had at it.
Can you please tell us the purpose of running the forum? It can be hard to run a successful forum, but it might not be that hard to achieve the purpose
few month back , i try myself to bring user to my website via discussion of topic and creating questions and provide answer myself ..than we wait for 4 week , i seen few registration and they start discussion on it Like i start with Google Map Integration and provide all the information and some time provide few information so user register and ask the remaining and that start forum.
first u need to some post in your forum then SEO, article marketing, Social Networking, Email Marketing. _________ http://www.troybakes.com/marriage_counselling.html
If you don't know any thing about SEO, try learning it on DP. There are many good threads on it. If you don't have time to do it, try hiring some one who can do it for you.
well, seo is Search engine optimization and dofollow link is when you submit your site there, your site will get backlink and it's will increase your pagerank, quality of your site, and your ranking on search engine. (hope i am right )... One of my friend make a new forum and now many people come there, let me tell you his technique... You must spend some money to do this , make a Seo contest and the rule is "Who want to participate must put your forum link on their site then they must join on your site". You can select keyword that you want to optimize (sample , make money on Webmaster forum - yoursite.com ). You will see your forum on first page on that keyword,,, haha. You can promote that contest on any forum, and many Seo guy will come to you...
You may promote your website through press release. Have some blogs which could hold good content about the theme of your site. Use social networking sites to get traffic.
Promote you site in related forums and also connect with related pages on social sites like facebook, twitter, orkut, myspace and whichever is famous at you, and also try to get backlinks from related forums sites. Do commenting on related articles.
Yep, chimpysmith, bloody confusing isn't it - but important to know if you want to get swarms of visitors to view your site. Here's your problem. All the posts above make good, and valid, suggestions but don't tell you HOW to do it. And trying to learn these vital techniques by browsing forums, doing online searches etc is like pushing pooh up hill with a rake. All you end up doing is frustrating yourself. To learn, even basic SEO requires you undertake some structured training, not wasting time trying to get by with a bit of knowledge here, a bit there. There are very good, and inexpensive, training courses available - I can point you at a couple if you wish - starting at $9 a month, and it may take you, as it did me, three months to rank on Google page 1. I even know of one where you get the first month free. So, the questions you have to ask yourself are - is getting thousands of people a month to visit and view my site worth less than I spend on coffee each month and a bit of time to learn what's needed to succeed. Only you can decide.
Ask yourself why someone would visit your site? If you cannot answer it, then make the changes in order that there is something for those people to gain. People will visit your website to get something out of it, either info, a tool or entertainment. Either way, there must be something in it for the reader.
Sometimes less is more. A new forum needs some kick start help to get enough members and visitors posting and making the forum work. I wouldn't start with to many subforums. Just 3 or 4 is enough for your start. By the time you get more members and posts you still can add more topics. If you have to many topics with to little postings, then your forum looks deserted and will not attract new people.. I have a forum myself about: IM and website traffic. Feel free to post at my place and backlink to your board. Good luck! Nick Stone
