I see that there are services out there where you pay for post's on your forums... like $xx for 25 posts or something. Does anyone know if these are legit? Anyone ever tried it? Or is it some dumb automated script that posts nonsense?

Please share your thoughts and experiences I wanted to try it with my forum at www.forumforest.com

No the services offered here are genuine. The company appoints users who post on the forums. So its not automated.

Well how else would you build up a forum from the ground? I have drive traffic to it but who wants to post on a forum with no conversation taking place? I have started threads and some conversation but you need a lot more. I would love to hear your ideas

If you've got a forum, your forum has to have a purpose.

One of the liveliest forums I've ever been in is at www.projectrockstar.com. You have to play them game to get access, but then that forums got a purpose.

I've seen far too many forums these days from people just out to make money, and the forums they make are impersonal and are generally generic. Its always going to be hard if not near impossible to ever make them as lively as the ones with a purpose.

Well mine is something new, I am trying to bring a lot of the general broad topics together, to a one stop type of deal. Everything in one place... Kinda like the walmart of forums!

Well, there are people out there who pay you for forum posting work. I am presently an active member of so many forums. Infact, these days I have gone the extra mile to write more on a subject so that I educate the readers out there. I am paid the same for a 20 word article and also for a more than 50 word article.Yet I see that I post a minimum of 50 words inorder to make the topic informative. Thats my style of doing a job.

Over all, I must say that your posts on the forum should be interactive.

    Greetings,

I wish you luck with your forum, though I will have to pass on some hard learned advice. I started my first website out as a "something for everybody" place and it never got that much traffic. It wasn't until I started working it toward a specific "Niche" that it started to blossom.

The web is, unfortunately a single-minded place when it comes to searching and the "general" catagory gets ignored a lot (if you can find one at all).

Since you are new, DO browse around awhile and you will see posts about good posters and things to watch out for about bad one's. You must avoid the copy and paste artists who just give you forum spam.

The posting "groups" here generally do you good value for the $. So do some of the individual posters, just research them a bit.
