Opinions of Content Network

I know I got a ton of impressions on the content network and my CPC is pretty low there. But, after 60 clicks there I didn't get anyone to convert to an actual sale. It was slightly dissapointing. I'm going to continue to let it run over the weekend to see how it goes. But do you guys feel that your wasting money by advertising on the Content Network? There is a way to actually not do that, correct?

My CTR is far higher on the Search Network as well. But even with the Content Network, my CTR is still .11 which I consider to be pretty good. Just looking for tips and opinions! :)

Its best to use the content network to drive cheap traffic and build your brand.

I have two clients who I have up to 5,000,000+ visitors per month using the content network. However the campaigns are focused on their niche, they use a lot of graphic images and have been very expensive to say the least. Additionally both sites offer a free service, they have nothing to sell.

You have to realize the people you reach on the content network who do visit and convert are those lured by an impulse.

With the search network the visitors are looking for what you are offering and as such are not usually impulse buyers and as such your conversion rate will be much higher in comparison to content network visitors.

Additionally if you are selling products you will usually do better Monday to Friday during working hours, as this is when most e-commerce is done.

    Hope it helps.

    :)

Maybe your website is not that attractive or something else?Have you paid attention to the quality of it?
Promotion is challenging and needs your hard work and insight. You'd better find the reason carefully.Maybe
it's not simply beacause of the method you take but some other reasons.Good luck.

My front end offers convert better on the content network than search BUT the clicks are like 3x more expensive. I always thought the content network was supposed to be cheaper CPC. Any idea why it would be higher?

At times there are sites on the content network that have a higher CPM for ads to display as opposed to the CPC in the search network. Most of my search campaigns have a CPC of $0.50 on average where within the content network the CPM bid can have me paying $1.50 to $2.50 CPC....

Doesn't make sense at times until you look at the sites in the network, how much traffic they receive, how much of an authority they are, etc.
