    what should i add?

    http://www.topstoriestoday.com/

I'm thinking Entertaiment and making the Money section smaller and more towards the bottom. Sports maybe? Sci/Tech?

and opinions on making it look better?

I liked the style of Drudge and decided to make a fully automated one. Any tips?

Left side looks good. One thing to improve: either put more whitespace between lib and conservative views or border so they are distinct. Right hand side is bit um disjoined? Just an idea, put the search and section jump in a nav bar across the page? Then block off the ad/money section and fill with videos. That's just a suggestion. It does look good though. Yup, the rightside needs something but it's too late for me to think clearly on it. Good work.

yeah i plan on adding more sections to the right, thats why it looks so disjoined. there wont be a categories section there, just more news, but im not sure if it should be entertaiment or sci/tech right now.

Rather than just showing the news headlines, you could add 1-2 lines of news for each item. And may be image thumbnails, if they are available. This could pull more readers.

    Just a thought!

    Thanks and Regards

Maybe put some padding on the header logo so it doesn't sit on the lines?

the reason i dont want images or content is because i like the look of drudge a whole lot. they use images but very sparingly. when the site will be 100% done there will be occasional images in the "top stories by the hour" section.

valve-hosting - thanks for the input, ill do that

I looked at it again, sorry but my suggestion caused problems. On 1024x768, the conservative box is being pushed down. Guess ya gotta tweak the size a bit. And another suggestion (all it is). Use the search like a divider between the news on top and the ads/video on bottom. I usually prefer the search higher up but it could divide that nicely.
    Good luck.

I fiddled around with the CSS and it should work in that resolution now.

Looks fine now. one more thing, again preference, how about using a lighter shade of black (or grey as normal people call it) on the borders below the header, it would soften it a bit.

Feel free to ignore me. ;)

Perhaps add a few colors for the header backgrounds and such.

I get the whole drudge thing but you can always add your feel to it.

the design is good, but it can alays be improved by using new tools, not the small software but rather size software which can create much better design and better enhancement.
in overall your website looks good. :)

    Hello,

The site has ample content, however in my opinion there is too much white space, try condensing the page better fit the screen. Reader may loose focus do to the excess white space.

    Otherwise it looss great!
