As some of you know, I have a new site (www.excessively.net) and have been working hard on it as far as link building and such. I recently bought another game site (www.onlineflasharcade.com). I am expecting excessively.net to reach PR6 or PR7 with the update. onlineflasharcade.com is PR4 and seems it will remain PR4 with the update. onlineflasharcade.com currently has a slightly higher Alexa rating than excessively.net (I believe only because it is a bit older, though). onlineflasharcade.com has 45 games. excessively.net has over 1000. Also, with the current setup, I don't believe onlineflasharcade.com has any source of income (such as AdSense, etc.). I just bought it yesterday...so, I have not worked with implementing anything. excessively.net does have AdSense and therefore a source of income. So, considering all of that, here comes my question... Should I keep onlineflasharcade.com separate and run as it's own site (they are both hosted on the same IP address now) or should I do a permanent redirect or just change the DNS for onlineflasharcade.com to point to excessively.net? Please think it over for a few minutes if you have time and let me know your opinion. Thanks.
I would rather have 2 sites than only one. Who knows, maybe you get lucky and the small one suddenly gets an excellent keyword ranked at google and you end up with a shitload of visitors, while the other one with its big PR ends up gathering dust. I would rather have a popular PR2 site than a dead PR6 site.
I would keep them both, but on mulitple IP addresses. I would use the higher PR site to link to the lower one, no return link.
keep them both, use one to target one phrase and the other to target another. or get them both to target the same phase and take both 1st and 2nd spot
Thanks much all for the feedback. The opinion seems to be universal. I will keep them both. Do you think it is okay to keep them both with HostGator (but on different IPs) or do I need to change one to a completely different provider so it will be on a different class C? Thanks again.
