OPINION: Question about domain rich keyword and SEO

    Hello,

    I want to register a new domain name and want to use keyword that has lots of search volume with less competition so it will help my SEO faster.

    But such keywords are extremely competitive now.

    Here is what I plan to do:

    1. To combine 2 keywords together e.g "book review online" and "buy cheap books online" The 2 combine will be: www.bookreviewonline-buycheapbooksonline.com

    2. I know the url is too long but what do you suggest I do in this circumstance?

    3. Will Google frown at such long url or will it affect SEO since that is what I am targeting?

    Personally i would not go for such a long url, i dont think google will frown upon it but you wont get any type-in traffic.

    go for something along the lines of booksonline.xxx thenn get backlinks with anchor text such as "cheap books online" and "Online book reviews" etc

    Another problem with such a long URL that you gave as an example is that you are duplicating keywords such as "book" and "online" i dont think that practice is very good in terms of SEO

    What ever you decide make sure you make good use of meta tags, and header tags etc.

    I would keep the URL as short as possible. By trying to fit many keywords in there, you'll actually be hurting your SEO efforts in other ways. Since linking is a big part of getting in the SERP's, having such a long URL will make it hard for people to link to you. Long URL's leave you open for misspellings and a whole slew of other linking blunders. If you can't find a .com with the keywords that you're looking for, I would look at some other TLD's like .org and .net. Sometimes it works in your favor to have a good, short keyword-rich .org as opposed to a complicated .com. I usually like to keep my domains to 3 words or less.

    However, I forgot to let you guys know the reason I tried to do add double keywords.

    I was looking for a keyword with at least 300 search volume per day on KeywordTracker but the ones available were insanely competitive.

    So I tried taking 2 keywords that has about 150 search volume per day to give me a minimum of 300.

    Can you still share some ideas with me about this?

    you must combine the words and the domain must be short.

    you can try domains like "cheap books online" , "online cheap books" etc words for your example

    There are too many different ways to mess that URL up. You'd have to rely solely on SERPs and PPC ads, because I would probably mistype that at least three or four times before entering it in correctly.
