Opinion on Ad Placement - 2 different sites

Hi,

I have a couple of sites. One of which is performing a lot better in terms of CTR than the other. The two sites are:

ewhatvitaminsshoulditake.com - lower CTR
bambooflooringprosandcons.info - Higher CTR

Do you guys think I should change the layout of ewhatvitaminsshoulditake.com to resemble the other site? My only reservation is that changing the layout and having the ads more 'in your face' might cause me to get penalized by adsense/google in terms of search engine rankings etc.

Any recommendations?

 

Could be the LInk title color in the vitamins site that is causing the Lower CTR. Change it to that of the other site.

thanks guys I've changed to colour now and we'll see if the CTR grows a bit. Another idea I guess would be a 160x600 side bar ad. But I don't want to overrun the site with ads.

 

Try to place at at your text content and make same design\style. Its best solution for high CTR.

I'm not 100% sure what this means, can you elaborate? Are you saying to put a paragraph first and then the main ad?
