It is meant to be a Sci-Fi articles and innovations logo. Does it fit it's purpose and is the design close to decent?
As the above comment mentions, it's creative but honestly I don't think it fits... That's just my opinion though and I cannot apply any feedback on how you can make the logo fit what you're aiming for, so you have my apologies for the short and poor feedback. I hope you get something looking right to you though.
I wouldn't like to disclose my site before it is ready, but it will basically be for Sci-Fi ideas that came eventually true, similar types of innovations etc. This is that the logo shloud 'fit to'.
Hey Pontifex, your logo looks good, however in a smaller ratio it kinda looks like a slab of meat (steak) I think it would better to tweak your logo a bit, you already have the idea just give it another "version".
Is it possible for you to present your logo within some form of context. I think you'll get much better feedback on it if you can. From what I see at the minute, the colour isn't really a sci-fi colour (if that makes sense). Also, the smaller version appears to have lost it's shape when it has been resized. The ultimate test for any logo is whether it looks decent at a size of 16px. Why this size? Because that's the size of a favicon and, presumably, you'll want to use the logo for that.
I'm with V0lta. You could easily make a play with the text to make it more appealing. Look for Sci Fi fonts for inspiration and try and fit the the text around any graphic. As for the colour - think about your target audience and niche. When I think of Sci Fi colours - Sky Blue probably wouldn't feature top of my list.
Since there is a lot of this color in the design, I could not ignore it. I think it fits. Website: Sci-Fi Real
