Opera Underrated?

All I see poping up is topics "IE v Firefox". Why is it never IE or Firefox v Opera.

Opera includes pop-up blocking, tabbed browsing, integrated searches, the new Speed Dial, fraud protection, bittorrent support, content blocker, password management, mouse gestures for easier navigation, and advanced functions like Opera's groundbreaking E-mail program (M2), RSS Newsfeeds and IRC chat. And because Wii know that our users have different needs, you can customize the look and content of your Opera browser with a few clicks of the mouse.

Oh yeah, and Opera is completely free!

    Download Opera 9.63:
    http://www.opera.com/download/

Please give it a try if you have never used eh give me your feedback. Its never freezes for me if theres loads of flash on a page unlike IE or FF.

Yes. Opera is a bleeding edge browser. This is why web developers test in it even though it has such low usage. It's fast, too. Always rated as one of the top 3 browsers. It's a shame it's not used as much as Firefox and definitely a shame it doesn't replace Internet Explorer.

btw, Opera is, by far, the most used browser in mobile devices/cell phones.

I always thought Opera would take off like Firefox, but it just didn't happen.

Anyone remember Netscape? Talk about bombing! There was a time when Netscape ruled the web.

It never freezes on you? That would be great. Mine freezes from time to time.

It is underrated. Opera pwns both FF and IE but the world is ruled by the sheep that go by the slogan similar to "firefox: best, never try anything else, BEST I SAYZX!".

Read www.firefoxmyths.com and spead the word.

Didnt Opera used to have advertisements inbuilt or you had to pay to get rid? Thats probably why it never took off.

I agree, Opera is the best browser out there followed by Internet Explorer.
    Opera is underrated.

Opera Mini > all Mobile Browsers...

    i too feel the same.
I have been using opera for 3 years now. Opera is fast and secure browser.
It is having the best appearance among the available browsers. It has everything in it for any user, and no need of any addons or plugins, it has everything INBUILT.
My computer is less affected by viruses while browsing with opera.

I have been using Opera probably since 2003 (or around there). I love it, and it beats all the other browsers in speed, security and like getadviced mentioned; the inbuildt "plugins". My opera is so customized I can't dream of switching to another browser.

The best thing about Opera is when it does "freeze", I just double click and it repairs itself. (In Vista). The second thing is the "switch tab" function using the "1" and "2" keys. Effective surfing, indeed.

Opera is also making sure I'm connected to gmail and google from my mobile phone.

Opera is underrated - but loved by the ones who knows it's secret potential :)

I been using opera for about 6 months now, and occasionally revert back to ie and ff for testing. I usually get quite animated at this time as I've taken opera's faster speeds for granted. Wouldn't want to go back to those 2 now. Opera rocks!

Absolutely false statement but Opera is very secure, too, especially compared to virus magnet IE.

    Well, different case here.

Opera is my main browser. It's fast, secure, easy-to-use.

Firefox is my DP Browser :D
