December 16 was released the final version of Opera 11. One of the basic innovations – extensions, which make it easy to add browser functionality you need. To study the new API, I decided to develop an extension that will search within opened (in the current tab) site.
It is difficult to find information within many sites because search in these sites don’t work or work very badly. My extension solves this problem by using popular search engines (Google, Yandex, etc.).

    Download and install

Before first use, you must restart your browser.

Unfortunately, at this time API for extensions can not edit the context menu and work with the standard searchbar, so I had to create own searchbar (appears after clicking on the button).

After entering text, search engines site opens in a new tab with a list of pages of the current (opened) site, which has the required text.

Extension customized for such search engines as Google, Yandex, Bing and Baidu. To switch the search engine to go to the menu Tools -> Extensions -> Extension Manager (or press Ctrl Shift E) -> Settings for extension InSite Search

FireFox fans can use a similar extension for your browser.

I've used Opera a bit but didn't like the slow loading of the web pages. I now use Google Chrome as it loads webpages very fast. Also, there are tweaks for Mozilla Firefox to make it run faster. You can also patch your TCP/IP to change the default number of allowed connections (10 connections) to any number.
