Good questions raised one more thing i would like to ask : how is the support and how many people involved with the script and do they have time or just like esyndicat who take your money and thats pretty much they do ? Regards
Extensions are available for download here. Installing them is simple, just download and unpack the zip file, then upload to the extension directory, then go to Admin -> Extensions and install.
Especially considering that some mods requires you to edit a multiple pages that you may have to re-edit after an upgrade or get a buggy directory.
I am currently trying to decide between open source solutions. I have put in my mind to get phpld out of my consideration for good (reasons for my decission are not important for this thread). I wish more people that are actually live users of OpenLD would post here suggestions and feedback ....
Since its new, i do not know how many users actually use it, i would like to install it if i had some live demo to play with first instead of screenshots, so maybe horn might wana have some live demo thing too.
i currently use it, but have not yet upgraded to 1.1 so have not tested the new features that have been added since the beta versions. I do like it better then the free version of phpld, and its not far off the paid version of phpld either, altho my thoughts on that might well change once i get to play with the new features
I can offer you hosting for your project. Send me a PM and I will tell you something about my perspective and how I plan to help such projects in the near future. Best regards
Thanks, but fortunately the problem is solved, I've got a host free host to host the admin/install demo.
That is good to hear and the admin panel has excellent features. A bit more work according to our suggestions and I am sure that it will be even better. See you in the suggestions thread!
The best thing is that it seems to be well supported by the developer, he is open to modifications as per our request.
Hehe.. but don't expect too much.. far from all will be implemented. Core features are more important.
