Hey guys, I want to open my own small hosting website. And provide cheap or free services to my friends who all want websites.

How would I go about doing this? I don't want to run servers, so I'm guessing reseller?

But how would that work? and getting my site set up? Please help me out. :)

I know how to design my site and code regular html + css but nothing else. Thanks!

Yep if its just for your friends etc, a good reseller would be the way about it. If you did plan on actually selling to some people and advertising you would need a billing system. Live chat maybe and being ableto use your own nameservers for a hosting domain.

Some reseller package are offering a free billing software such as client exec.

As a reseller, you would want these :

    Dedicated ips
    Anonymous DNS

    Hope this help.

Yea, reseller would be your best bet at least to start. Many companies offer a plan that would suit your needs and offer you pretty much fulll control.

i think most resellers come with a default template and admin panel. You should be able to edit the template with css+html
