    Hi,

My friend and I will open social network website in short coming month (the script already in finalize step), We will open social network site that work also as referral commission website that give several portion of membership fees to members. Script in php/mysql.

Here I would like to ask sincere opinion, about what should I bought?. since this is start as small social networking website, I'm consider hosting plan or VPS, and really budgeting in spending for hosting solution.

But my problem is, I'm likely know nothing about hosting social network, what should I choose, is it huge web-space (shared hosting plan) or more personalize (VPS) but limited web-space, I don't really know what to choose right now. What security measure should I consider since this work with payment transaction.

If could any opinion with best example; such as any social network that using shared web-host or VPS that can be compare.

    Sorry for my bad English.

All opinion really appreciate. Thank you :)

Start with a shared plan to save costs. There are plenty around that are very low priced and offer generous storage and traffic quota's. But choose a host that also offers reasonably priced VPS and Dedicated server plans for when you are ready to upgrade.

    Good luck.

You can start with shared hosting service and when there will be the need of virtual private server or a dedicated server, you can always uograde.
