Opening Ports on Router? (Wireless/Laptop)

    I was wondering if it is possible to open ports on your router if it is not a wired connection. I am on my laptop and I got into the device web page so I can play around, I tried creating a "custom rule" but it didn' seem to help, and the port didn't open.

    Any suggestions?
