I don't have Adsense account yet. But when I read about more and more people whose accounts are for some unexplained reasons suspended I realize it would be good to "protect myself" so that if they do ban me, I can still open a new account. In other words, what steps should I take to make sure Google doesn't track me in case I want to open another account? Should I use my family member's credit card and details first? Another computer, ISP, proxy site? I think it would help a lot of people here who fear they would be unfairly banned by Google.
Just don't screw them and they won't screw you, read their TOS and see what you can and can't do. And track your clicks through Google Analytics so if you do happen to get fraudulent clicks you don't get banned. Don't be scared to use AdSense, just take precaution , that's the best advice I can give you from a fellow AdSense newbie.
If my grandmother willingly gives me her account information and SS# to open Adsense account, how is this a fraudulent application? I didn't steal her identity or something...
Is she willing to assume the tax liability? I would still read Section 13 rather carefully first since in a way you are still misrepresenting yourself in your application. As WebTalkVB says, just don't screw with them...be above board in your dealings with your site and you shouldn't have any troubles with being banned. It's like a marriage and this is like starting one with a lie already. But, that's your decision.
I think she won't care much about tax. Anyway, why it seems more and more Adsense users are baing banned? If I read threads at forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=69 it seems obvious there's something wrong with the system. It's hard to believe all users whose accounts were banned did really something wrong...
Create a decent, original site and promote it naturally and there should be no running afoul of the G. How many banned do you see? Compare that to the number of publishers there are out there and it's likely a drop in the bucket. Although certainly not always the case, a number of the ones on here that have cried ban turned out to have a very good reason for it when you got right down to what was going on.
Google has strict rules and are very serious about them which equals a lot of banned users who don't bother reading the TOS. As long as you follow the rules you'll be fine.
Simple advice - but so true. But I would make sure that your Grandmother is OK with you opening application with her details, that's potentially fraud.
I would suggest you that don't ever click on your own ads.. I used to have google ads account where I used to click on my own ads.. but after few days I got banned So, I will suggest the same thing to you to keep your account protected
in my opinion, there are 3 thinks that you can do. * read the tos carefuly, read the tos carefuly, read the tos carefuly * be honest to your visitors. they are not coming to click your ads. they are coming for your content. * install adlogger
I've found that Google has been fair over the years. I don't violate the TOS but have accidently clicked my ads before and never been banned. I also have seen odd stats come up and reported it to them. They've always seemed to appreciate the heads up. Just don't do dumb things and you shouldn't need a second account for coverage. Now to get over the 200 channel limit I could see needing a second account.
Use anti spam policy like 'goodtolove.com' which will make users unable to click the ads more than once in an hour.
