    which forum software is better: Vanilla vs Simple Machines Forum vs phpBB? thanks :):cool:

    I used SMF for a few years. The forum's load performance was fine. But the PHP code and template system was plain ugly. The Simple Machines team takes years to release new versions. I dumped SMF for phpBB a few years ago and I like phpBB much better. I have never used Vanilla. So if I were to make a recommendation, phpBB is it.
