I am using Google Service on my website, any visitor can just click a LINK to chat with me online. Just check out my site in my signature
I bought LiveAgent from http://www.qualityunit.com/liveagent/ for my website but there is free version of it on the website too You can see the sample of software on my website (signature link)
I presume the free version is time limited? I'm not sure about using Google Chat. Does that involve the user having to download something? I will check out the Crafty Syntax offering. What I want is the ability to watch users who are online, send pro-active chat requests, and for users to be able to see when an agent is available and click to chat. Plus it must log chats and have canned answers to commonly asked questions.
I would also like to find a good live chat software. I found Crafty Syntax to be slow between sending and recieving messages.
I think the live chat software offered by Comm100 is great. Because it is not only totally free but also providing a rich feature set. You can have a try.
There are a couple actually. Voulusion Live Chat Free (http://www.volusion.com/live-chat/software.asp): This is simple to setup and only takes like 10 minutes to make it all work together. I currently use this and think it is great. There are restrictions but unless you have a rather large website then you should be fine. LiveZilla (http://www.livezilla.net/home/en/): This one is a little bit more intense to setup but has so many features it is well worth the hassle. Plus I believe this is open source so you should be able to tweak it. Good luck and tell me how it goes. Thanks, Nick
i am also search free live chat software by the way Livezilla works only with Windows server and i have Linux
Right now Livezilla is no more a free software as it used to be its current version 4.1.0.4 is license based i.e. are paid.
