I'm getting this error in the final installation stages " Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user 'u70254106'@'anyhost' (using password: YES) in /mnt/w0202/d04/s25/b01c6928/www/adlogger/config_settings.php on line 16 Access denied for user 'u70254106'@'anyhost' (using password: YES) "
nicedeals, post that thread above in the support forum for this tool too- http://www.adlogger.org/forum/ Sounds to me like the db password was incorrect- Did you specify the right name/password/location for the sql db? (not to mention create the sql db)
i just finished installing it. just wanna say amazing script. i was looking for such things ages ago. does it give statistics from which pages the clicks were generated? because i got a dynamic script for each of my downloads files and i would like to know which ones are getting most clicks. great work man keep it up
IMO there are some issues with performance stats, but they have been posted in the forum http://www.adlogger.org/forum/ (This is a beta- so go figure!) This tool is awesome just as it is, but it would be incredible with just a bit more accurate performance stats.
i don't wanna block the clicks/day i just wanna check from where the clicks were generated. it's showing me everything unique visitors and the page visited adsense is showing me increasing but the script is always displaying 0 on clicks website: www.vcoders.com
Awesome script! I've been looking for a good Adsense tracker lately & couldn't find a decent one at a reasonable price. Can't beat free Finally, I'll know how all of my pages are doing - 200 channels doesn't give me nearly enough information. Thanks for posting the script here.
kingdan221 make sure you put the javascript code just before the closing /BODY tag, not at the beginning of the HTML file, this is very important for the clicks to be tracked (in fact the code needs to be after any AdSense block) It works well.
very nice script, just installed and already it's looking good, just looking to see whos clicked, where the came from, what they clicked on.. very nice indeed
Nice script trevlar, thanks alot. I noticed you didn't have a proper logo on your site so I knock on up for you, hope you like it
That's very nice of you newbeing! Just wanted to say I gave you green for the great script Trevlar! I'll get you again once I am allowed to add to your rep.
hehe Thanks! That's really cool! Oooo Thanks! I really like this forum now, too! And to everyone else who has left comments so far-- Thank you! The script has come a long way since I first introduced it. I'm glad a lot of people have tried it out and like it. There is still a list ideas that will get implemented before a stable version is released, but until then, you shouldn't have any problems with the beta. If you do, please don't hesitate to ask. It even seems like there are already some people who know the script as well as I do! If I don't answer you right away, I'm sure somebody will.
Weary or leary?? Mail google if you want to check. It's just java script at the bottom of your pages. Others expressed concern about the php wrapped around the js for disabling adsense in case of a click attack. If it concerns you just don't use the disable ads around the actual adsense code, the main tracking part works without the php wrapped around the js. Is AdLogger in violation of Google AdSense's terms of service? No, AdLogger is not in violation of Google's terms of service. No alterations are made to the AdSense code. The AdLogger script is placed around the AdSense code and at the bottom of your page.
lol! I think I was weary when I tried to type leary.. I was thinking about sending them one, I even had it all typed up but before I pushed the send button I thought, maybe I shouldn't annoy them by asking if a 3rd party stats script is compatible with TOS. Anyone else want to shoot them an email?
I've sent G messages in the past asking about 3rd party scripts. They didn't mind that I asked and they responded promptly. However, is was somewhat of a canned reply saying basically that if I choose to use a 3rd party script, the ultimate responsibility for TOS compliance is mine. But it's fine to ask them that kind of question.
