    Hi,

Can someone tell me the difference between a "Open Proxy" and a "Proxy"

A VPS I'm looking to rent says they're okay with Proxy sites just not "Open" proxies.

    Whats that mean?

I have a proxy site that is PHP, I assume I'm okay?

    Thank You

    Yes PHProxy is fine.
One proxy is a web based proxy, the other is an IP proxy like 212.201.22.4 or something. This is inserted into the browser and you can browse using that IP.

Couldn't you just put in the IP of my site into your browser and visit anyways?

I figured PHProxy would be okay, but had to be sure.

    Thanks
