I have a real minor league question for you masters of the HTML arts. I did a little reformatting of my site homepage but the only page that loads is .asp extension for home page. How do I write code so that domain accesses the .asp side of things.

Please don't hurt my feelings with the newb taunts..I'm very sensitive.

I can't understand for sure, what you are saying.

So are you saying that you redesigned your homepage, and renamed it right ?

Let's say your old page was default.php, and your new one is default1.php (or .html or whatever).

If you want every user that visits your www.domain.com to enter in default1.aspx, then just go your root .htaccess, and eneter this line :

    Directoryindex default1.php

If you're an ASP guy, then sorry, i don't know how to help :)

You'll have to check your web logs/stats for detail on what exactly has caused the error, but it usually signifies an 'internal server error' (but not necessarily by an error in the server itself - it could be triggered by a bad htaccess file for instance) ~ this may help ... http://www.checkupdown.com/status/E500.html

Have you recently altered your htaccess file, if so remove the recent additions and try again. Has it happened after a recent change to your page code at all? If so, revert to the old page code and find the error.

Thanks for the tip Tam. But I think my host may have went down because all of a sudden my home page is back online with no tweaking by me at all....May have to go host shopping soon.
