I was tweaking my page and I put some keywords near the top. I published the page and checked google hours later, to find that I was only ranked in google near the top on only a few of my terms. (Before the adjustment, all of my phrases ranked me in the top ten) Now, hours later, I am not ranked anywhere. Some of my pages are ranked, (far into the SERP - #28, etc.) but no longer my main page. Yet on yahoo I am ranked higher than ever. I removed the keywords and changed my stuff back to where it was before. Will I get re-ranked with google to where I was originally?? or am I screwed??
when google rebuilds its database, your rank may move or appear non existent. the only way to tell if your onpage seo works is to keep it there for a week or two. only do minor adjustements at a time so you can see how the se's respond.
Well is it bad that I "planted" a few keywords on top? I've removed them. Could Google have punished me for putting those keywords on top? I've recently released a press release and the pRess release is ranking #10 on my computer, but on my iphone its #1. What the heck? Also, my site is ranking on my iphone in the top 10 but not on my computer!
