    Only Riddles

Please check out this site I have recently created. Almost all of the basic functions are complete, I just have to finish the Riddle submission (which will take me about 5 minutes anyway). Let me know what you all think, thanks.

I like it! Everything is nice and clean. The only problem I get is that the middle text is off... something seems weird about it. Hard to concentrate on the text. Maybe the yellow and white.

Maybe having an image associated with each riddle could help.

I was quite pleased. Good use of font in the logo. I found nothing off, though I thnk Cyrus255 had a great idea with the associated image concept. Maybe displayed with the answer.

That's a good idea, however there are over 1000 riddles and it would be hard to get an image associated for all of them. I'll see if I can come up with anything to change in the middle area, thanks for both of your inputs.

Cyrus: I've messed around with the layout, let me know what you think of it.

    Anybody else have some suggestions?

Good layout sir, one suggestion and one query. I think, you would need to define categories of riddles in the sense that users of different profiles can select riddles based on their skill level or aptitude.

What would be your revenue model....adsense?

The ads aren't up yet, I was thinking of adding them later.

I really like it. Great design, however I get a *problem retrieving data* error when I click on the Answer button.

i loved your site. a great, sharp contemporary design.

just one thing puzzled me; i could not see the need for the title of each riddle to be clickable. or perhaps it's clearer to say i think it would be better if that click revealed the answer, rather than having to click again. it just seemed to slow the use of the site although it does give many more potential advertising opportunities. perhaps that was your thinking?

either way it's great and i wish you every success with it. :D

    Thanks for the kind words!

Well, my purpose for creating a separate page for each riddle was so that if you enjoyed a particular riddle, you could bookmark that link or send it to a friend. Do you have any ideas on what a better method may be? Thanks!

Not my kind of color combination. Other than that I like it. Clean, simple. Nice one.

Good luck with your new site!

well i just think that one or other of the links is redundant, and in view of what you say above you could perhaps consider combining the two into one link to the separate page which would contain the riddle and the answer (without another click) giving you the functionality you mentioned and the advertising opportunity i had in mind all without the visitor needing to make that extra click.

just my thoughts. hope it helps. ;)

Good idea, however if they are sending the link to a friend, they may not want to see the answer right away (if they've never seen the riddle before). It would kind of spoil it for them. If I can figure a way around this I'll try it out and let you know... thanks ;)

very nice logo and basic design, though I think the site as a whole looks a bit plain.
