Hello,

This contest is a 10 days one (but can be less if I find the right design before !).

Only needed : PSD (with good and logical layers for future integration).

I am opening soon a new blog called maboitecartonne.com (it means more or less in french : “my small business is doing really good”).

The blog posts will be about emarketing, small business marketing, entrepreneurship etc…

My target audience is working people, 25-50 years old, male & female.


i would like something simple, that looks professional but not too institutional, and with some ENERGY. These sites are a good example of what i want :

o Header info
In the header, there will be a logo.
Add the site’s name : MaBoiteCartonne.com.
Add the baseline (in text) underneath : “Webmarketing, stratégie et productivité pour les entrepreneurs”
Navigation bar should be under header


o For the site colors, choose preferably among the kind of colors in the 3 example sites above : blue, white, orange, black, gray…


o Post info
The articles have to be black font on white background. Blue links.
posts will be 1 pic + text
Post titles should resemble like www.artdeseduire.com or http://www.simpleentrepreneur.com/ in terms of general appearance (don’t need to have the same colors ; just use those site post titles as inspiration/model)


o Blog size infos :

2 columns

Right column : exactly 310 px
Left (main) column : circa 575 px
Total width : circa 900-920 px

Header length : ca 200 px


o Logo

Try 2 kinds :
o One with just the initials “MBC”
o Another one with the mbc initials and a cardboard box with some kind of magical glow coming from inside of it (because in French maboite cartonne also has to do with cardboard boxes, double meaning!)

Hi, thanks for quick proposition radutrifan.


I really like post titles, and category / comment boxes. Great for a first draft.

My remarks on the 2 columns:

o small column should go to the right
o html links in “content” box should be blue like they are at the bottom of posts (all html links blue to make it easier for user)
o I don't know if there's a way to add a more engeretic color (yellow, orange ?) somewhere in the columns (especially the large one). Can you test ?


The header needs the most work. I like the second one a little better.

But the colors aren’t great (too dark and varied). They should be closer to column colors (+ maybe the “energy color”)

The box with “mbc” above is the logo and should be on the left of the header and smaller. I wish we could se the box a little better and it looked more like an illustration, less like a photo of a box.

In the center of the header :
MaboiteCartonne.com and the baseline underneath

Please put a full nav bar instead of just tabs, more like you did in the previous contest or like on http://www.entrepreneurs-journey.com/ (whichever you think is better).

We've made all the changes that you asked:



Maybe now is more lighter. I've used yellow and orange in the content section and in the right sidebar, decide which color do you like.

here's my reply to your new proposition

Header :

* i really like how you put the site name and baseline in the middle
* forget the box for the logo. Just the 3 letters "MBC" but it's got to be more refined
* not a big fan of the "wave" that goes through the header
* make it blue like the blue in previous proposition


* New nav bar is nice but I’d also prefer it in blue



Body:

* I prefer this version :


But could you try to put the date and comment box in orange instead.
